What you’ll do:
- Work closely with students with moderate/severe special needs, either 1:1 or across entire classrooms
- Assist various moderate to severe scenarios such as Toileting; Personal 1:1 Care; Non-Verbal; Challenging or Aggressive Behaviors in the Classroom
- Foster a safe and nurturing learning environment
- Support resource teacher(s) in delivering IEP’s (individual education plans)
- Follow direction from, and assist lead educators
You’ll need:
- At least 1 yr experience working with children/adults with special needs (moderate/severe preferred); OR
- At least 1 yr year in a classroom /education setting
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree, or 48+ college credits
- A copy of your CBEST test results
- Three References with one by a previous direct supervisor
- Take a TB Risk Assessment & Background check (we’ll cover the cost of this on your first check!)
- You’ll stand out if you have any SpEd-specific training, CPI or PCM Training or applied behavior analysis (ABA) experience
