What you’ll do:

• Work closely with students with moderate/severe special needs, either 1:1 or across entire classrooms
• Assist various moderate to severe scenarios such as Toileting; Personal 1:1 Care; Non-Verbal; Challenging or Aggressive Behaviors in the Classroom
• Foster a safe and nurturing learning environment
• Support resource teacher(s) in delivering IEP’s (individual education plans)
• Follow direction from, and assist lead educators

• Listening to your needs and preferences before matching you with assignments
• Providing you your very own designated Scoot consultant – most of our consultants are former educators so they are able to provide advice based on their previous experience
• Doing 1:1 check-ins and discussing positive and constructive school feedback with you

• Earn up to $24/hr for short term assignments and more for long-term. While pay varies based on credentials, the school, and the assignment, we strive to pay the highest rates among substitute providers.

You’ll need:

• At least 1 yr experience working with children/adults with special needs (moderate/severe preferred); OR
• At least 1 yr year in a classroom /education setting
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree, or 48+ college credits
• A copy of your CBEST test results
• Three References with one by a previous direct supervisor
• Take a TB Risk Assessment & Background check (we’ll reimburse the cost of the Background Check you do with Scoot!)
• You’ll stand out if you have any SpEd-specific training, CPI or PCM Training or applied behavior analysis (ABA) experience
